They added to the initial lineup with guitarist Mike Justice, bassist John McCarthy, and drummer Michael "Ratboy" Novak. In their first short tour covering the Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Canada vicinities, the band met Goodfellow Records producer Chris Logan, who released the band's debut EP Burial Plot Bidding War in 2000. The following year, Aaron Ratajczak replaced McCarthy as bassist before the band released its debut full-length album Last Night In Town that year under Ferret Records, leading to a tour for that album in collaboration with Killswitch Engage the following year.

In 2003, Steven Micciche replaced Ratajczak as bassist for the band's second full-length Hot Damn! and the band's subsequent American tour supporting Jackass star Steve-O. However, Micciche resigned from his position in 2005, being replaced by Kevin Faulk of Between the Buried and Me fame. However, three months after recording sessions for the band's third album Gutter Phenomenon, he was replaced by Chris Byrnes of NORA, who left the band after touring with them at the Warped Tour 2006.Their sixth bassist, Keller Harbin of The Chariot, replaced Byrnes and played with the band for its tour with Atreyu on the World Championship Tour along with From First to Last and Chiodos. The band was featured on the 2007 Sounds Of The Underground tour. Former Shiner guitarist and From Autumn To Ashes bassist, Josh Newton, was inducted in September 2007 as the band's seventh bassist for a tour with Underoath.

In 2006, their song "The New Black" was featured as a bonus track in Guitar Hero 2 and also in the PlayStation 3 game MotorStorm. The band performed the song "We'rewolf" live on the ABC late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Halloween of 2007. From January-February 2008, Every Time I Die went on a tour with Killswitch Engage, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Parkway Drive. They also headlined the Take Action Tour, playing alongside From First to Last, August Burns Red, The Bled, and The Human Abstract. The band played the entire Warped Tour 2008.

At their February 09 show with Underoath and Poison The Well in Auckland, New Zealand, Keith announced on stage that we can expect a new album this year. Every Time I Die entered the studio on March 23 to begin recording their Epitaph Records debut. The effort is being tracked with producer/engineer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan) in Anaheim, California and is expected to hit stores this fall.

Every Time I Die- The New Black

Band You Should Be Listening To, But Probably Aren't.

New Found Glory (often abbreviated NFG) is an American pop punk band hailing from South Florida, now based in Los Angeles. The band consists of Jordan Pundik (vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Steve Klein (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums).

Since forming back in 1997 the band have amassed a cult following, so far releasing six studio albums, with their latest, Not Without a Fight, released on March 10, 2009.

In the 12 years they’ve been a band, New Found Glory have sold millions of albums, logged hundreds of thousands of road miles, and influenced an entire generation of bands whose sounds range from emo to pop-punk to hardcore and beyond. Yet despite the fame, despite the platinum records, and despite the fact that their fan base includes bands who’ve gone platinum multiple times over in their own genres, New Found Glory remain the same five friends who started making music because there was nothing better to do in the Florida suburbs that spawned them.

Okay, so they’ve grown up a little, and one listen to the new From the Screen to Your Stereo Part 2 shows just how much. A sequel to the band’s similarly titled 2000 EP for Drive-Thru, From the Screen to Your Stereo, Part 2 finds New Found Glory drawing on the matured arranging skills that made their 2006 album Coming Home a critical success. Featuring contributions from some of the bigger names NFG have influenced (members of Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday and Cartel, to name but three), Part 2 is the sound of a band and their supporting crew all playing at the top of their game.

While New Found Glory may have come farther than even they could’ve imagined, the band sounds most proud of the fact that the band have charted their career path just they made their latest album: for the love of the music, and on their own terms.

A concert tour, "Not Without A Fight", is planned to run from March 25, 2009 to June 10, 2009. Plans include 49 performances: 41 in North America and 8 in Europe.

Head On Collision (Trendysecret's personal favorite NFG Song)

Ascending from a small town saturated in metal and hardcore, the southern-based sextet set out to carve their own niche with a unique blend of lighthearted power-pop.

Hailing from Greensboro,North Carolina natives Marshall Davis (vocals), Chris Lee (keyboard, vocals), Kevin Carter (guitar), Wil Andrews (guitar), Buddy Bell (bass) and Jeff Ellis (drums) met while living in Greensboro and were immediately bonded by their shared love of music and distaste for school and jobs. In an effort to escape sheer boredom, they began playing music together and in turn created Farewell in 2004. Drawing on a wide range of influences (Beach Boys to Greenday), the group crafted a tight upbeat pop-rock sound, which was a far cry from the scene that dominated their town.

The pop-punk sextet released their first EP, Poisoning the Lark, in 2005 with the Forsaken label. Farewell incorporated keyboards and layered vocals into the traditional rock penchant for dueling guitars over a rhythm section, a mixture that worked well for the band, eventually hooking the interest of the independent beacon of the punk revival, Epitaph Records, after a string of Eastern U.S. shows. Epitaph released Farewell's debut full-length, Isn't This Supposed to Be Fun!?, in the fall of 2007.

Isn’t This Supposed To Be Fun!? boasts buoyant melodies, scintillating synth and quirky lyrics for an energetic and rollicking, energetic good time. With the super catchy sing along “Stay Pretty” and the piano popping “War” among others, (as well as my personal favorite "Eighty-Eights" Farewell captures a spirit of unparalleled youth and vigor on their debut release.

Farewell- First One On The Blog

Daily Music Dose: St Valentines Massacre

St Valentines Massacre

We're allowed to do shameless promotions, right? (ha-ha) One of the most popular metal bands in the state of Florida, St Valentines Massacre (there is no period at the end of St and there is no apostrophe in Valentines) hails from deep in the swampy regions of south Florida, a place where demons and angels both dwell in shrouded forms familiar to the human eye, forms which can be deceiving and conducive to trickery, comes a group of five young soldiers fighting for righteousness throughout the galaxy. This group of elite musical warriors goes by the name of St Valentines Massacre. All five members of this band of renegade aural angels hails from different backgrounds, all which directly influence their multicultural flavorful contributions to the musical force as a whole.

Compromised of Paul Starr (gutiars, vocals), Tony Rodriquez (screaming), Tyler Jordan (gutiar, backing vocals), Alan Olshefski (bass) and newest member Jeremy Suarez (drums) the band recently signed to Megaforce/MRI Labels. For those of you at home playing the 'why should I care?' game, Megaforce is responsible for releasing albums from such artists as Metallica's first two albums, Anthrax, Mushroomhead, Ministry, and more. In addition, through MRI they will be distributed through Sony/RED, and their full length debut album coming in Summer 2009 will be available online through Amazon, BestBuy, Fye, iTunes, Hot Topic, and in select retailers nationwide.

St Valentines Massacre (or SVM, as they are affectionally called) are a rag-tag group of renegades formed from the most bizarre musical auras on the planet, and combined into one massively powerful force. A force that will one day take over the world with their sheer sonic prowess, their powerful riffs, their heart pounding beats and their passionate words that seep into your soul and set it ablaze. St Valentines Massacre is not going anywhere, and its force of loyal followers is only growing by the hundreds every day. It is useless and futile to fight it; you must embrace your destiny. Like it or not, they are taking over.

The band is currently in the studio (also known as the back of Tony's house which has been converted into a studio) recording their debut album Awakening, due out June 9, 2009 and are currently finishing up the mixing and mastering! A record release show is planned for sometime in June, as well as a tour through the summer and fall to promote the album.

All the press-stuff aside, these boys are my best friends. They are the guys who will get drunk with you (or for you for us straight-edge kids), play a show that drenches them and the crowd in sweat, and invite you to Denny's after the show. It's been a pleasure, and an honor watching them grow, and I hope you find that they are as equally musically pleasing as they are personably pleasing.
Happy Listening!

Here is the band performing an early cut of their song Eulogy

A fan video of their song "Nightmare Theory"
PLEASE NOTE, OLD MEMBERS ARE IN THE VIDEOS.

She's the girl in the back
That blends in with the crowd.
The one that you're forced to make tag along

A girl so filled with self-doubt, she can't tell who is genuine anymore.
She's sure they all are, but has been walked on too many times to trust anyone.
She's unloved, unimpressive, unwanted.

Every hug, every glance; she takes it the wrong way.
She loved those two seconds you paid attention to her. But she mistook it for something more. In two seconds she imagined what it would be like to be in your arms forever. It was a beautiful picture.

But you're drunk and you move on to the next person in your party, another drink in your hand.

She'll go to bed tonight, remembering how warm you made her feel. How you made her insides flutter for a second. Maybe	for the first night in a while she will sleep peacefully. Maybe tonight she won't cry herself to sleep.

She dreamt of you the other night, the first time she ever had. In real life, she would have easily said she wasn't into you that way. But her subconscious kicked in, and now has her thinking.

Thinking of what it would be like for just one kiss.
Thinking of what it would be like for a hug that lasted longer than usual.
No, thinking of a hug that was given with real meaning behind it, not just because you and her are pals.

She's so tired of being alone.
So tired of living in her head.
So tired of being the only one in the room without a hand to hold or someone to put their arm over her shoulders.
She wants to be like the characters she writes about. Strong, independent, and so hot that no guy in the room can resist her.

But she never will be.
She will never have that confidence in herself.
She will never tell you any of this either.

Because you'll never look at her the same. And you'll probably laugh at her, and you'll never feel the same.

I don't want to leave you a bitchy comment. In fact, I even want to apologize. True, many of the things I said were out of line, and hurtful. I didn't entirely think things through before posting something I didn't think anyone would find. Buzznet used to be the one place I thought I could say things, and when I posted some stupid journals on my site, the internet broke. Everyone attacked me, knocking me down to nothing. Since then, I was walking on egg-shells. Everything I was writing was being watched by the hawks that were the internet police.

I was ranting. Everyone has their own ways of ranting. Some people do it artistically, while others mouth off, saying (in this case typing) the first thing that comes to their mind. Was I upset at that time? Yes. Does the 'system' still piss me off? Of course.

However, I do not think every photo you take is shitty. There are plenty of amazing ones that you have taken. Do I think mine is OMGUGUISEAMAZING. Absolutely not. I have the worst self-esteem about my work, sometimes even hesitant to post something. You have a following of thrushes (that's not a word) of people who admire your work, and look up to you for their inspiration, just like I look to Todd for mine. Some of your shots are brilliant, while others slip, just like everyone else.

I was just getting kinda mad at the admins that not only some of yours, but other shots from users were getting featured. Many people have posted their thoughts on it; posted their thoughts on the badges, the 'favoritism', and the elitism that Buzznet turned into. Yes, I am guilty of all that, just as much as many other people on this site.

The post on livejournal wasnt meant to shake you down. It was more of me ranting at the Buzznet system, but like everyother journal or twitter or anything I post, people pick and choose what they want to read from it, and harp on that.

One of the comments made on the Live Jounal went something like this:

You're an utter and complete bitch, stop whining just because no one
likes your shitty photography. No wonder everyone on buzznet seems to
hate you. You're disgusting.

Who ever wrote that pretty much hit the nail on the head. I don't know who you are, and pretty sure I never will know, but it's a sad reality when something like that hits you in the face.

This really truely saddens and angers me. I'm so disappointed that
someone I really admired wrote something like this about someone with
talent, JUST A DIFFERENT KIND OF TALENT AND STYLE then herself. Really,
please try to think about people's feelings, you do realize that people
have emotions other than anger right? And do not even go and complain
about how many featured photos you have, that's bull shitty
complaining. Take a step back and look at yourself. Please and thank
you.

I didnt think about who it would affect, like I said, I was sure no one knew I had one. It was my little place to vent accordingly; about my life, about friends, about everything. But, someone went and found it and things blew up.

Sara, you do have talent. You are a great photographer. You have ideas and an eye for things that I could never imagine having. You capture things that I, and even others, could never get. And now, with your new camera, I hope to see more of it from you. Every one of you has talent, in some way shape or form. Some of you are brilliant writers, some of you take stunning photos, others make wonderful videos.

So, I guess to finish this up, Sara, I am sorry for what I said. I know we put the past behind us once, and this is by no means an out-cry to make ammends again. Continue to be you, and don't let people like me who rant on life all day bring you down.

To everyone else: I am sorry if I offended you in anyway. I'm going to go with what the one commenter said and presume that all of you hate me, of which I can understand. I've never tried to make any of you think otherwise of me, and from what I have done in the past few months, you all have every right to do so.

I hope all of you have a drama-free 2009, and I hope that you guys continue to support Sara, and the other people here on Buzznet, aside from myself for obvious reasons. I'm sorry for taking up your time.

It's that simple. Granted, Justin Timberlake isnt shorter than me, with a mole on his face, but these new comers are quickly latching onto every tour. Cobra Starship, The Hush Sound, Rock Band Live. I dont usually cry over songs. My muscial ADD will kick in and I will turn a song off before I get attached. But, as much as I love this song, I hate it all the same. The reprise of all the FOB songs at the end, sung by various Decaydance members brings me to tears (I'm good until Alex DeLeon bursts out with 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs'). It seems like Fall Out Boy is passing the torch onto acts like The Cab, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is an Panic At the Disco. They paved the way for these acts, Pete signed them to Decaydance, and now its their turn. DNW to lose Fall Out Boy.
