Put Love on Hold, Young Hollywood is On The Other Line
Posted
2 yrs 2 mos ago
Reese Witherspoon is upset with 'sad and very strange' behavior of many Young Hollywood girls, because they demean the women who worked hard to achieve equality. She says:
"We don't need to keep reading about female celebrities who are out there posing all the time and craving attention and exploiting the sex symbol stereotype. My mother and grandmother fought incredibly hard against a male establishment to become high achievers in their lives, and I think women should be able to be sexy and smart and successful, without being silly and aimless." Do you agree with Reese, or do you think these 'female celebrities' she is referring to (such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton) just have serious mental problems? |

Indecent or Funny?

KROQ in Los Angeles played a Plain White T's spoof on Tuesday morning called, "Hey There, Vagina." The song was heavily requested, but the station pulled it for being indecent. As a result, "Hey There, Vagina" has appeared online; click the link below to listen to it. What do you think? Indecent or hilarious?

2007 summer jam
Posted
2 yrs 7 mos ago
Almost every summer invariably has one song that in years after, people associate with that summer.
2003 was definitely the summer of Crazy In Love. 2005 is a bit tougher to call, because there was no massive dance/R&B hit like usual. But I probably look back on it as James Blunt's You're Beautiful's summer sadly, Daniel Powter's Bad Day probably also has a strong case (Don't Cha probably would have been had it not been released so late). Last summer definitely belonged to Shakira with Hips Don't Lie, So does anyone have any predictions for this summer? I think the most likely atm is sadly Rihanna's Umbrella ( ), though I actually wouldn't rule out Maroon 5's Make Me Wonder... |

Musical Tattoos?
Posted
2 yrs 7 mos ago
From AP.net: "Tattoos have gone from being a social faux pas to a cultural mainstay in a very short time. The idea of having something inscribed on one's body as a permanent addition to their image is one that intrigues many and frightens many."
"Recently, a thread was created in AbsoultePunk.com's General Forum to show off tattoos that AP members have. Seeing all the different forms of tattoos taking place, then seeing the conflicting praise and criticism some members received for their ink definitely highlighted an interesting issue." "Would you ever get a tattoo of your favorite band? Do you already have one? Do you think that a tattoo of your favorite band is a good idea to get as a reminder to a certain time in your life? Or do you think that it is a rash decision that will only lead to regret in the future?" |
